mission
My studio was founded with the simple mission of creating products that meet the demands of a sustainable and future-oriented society.
This is not primarily about technological progress, but about addressing how we as humans interact with our environment in a sustainable way. Sustainability does not only refer to ecological factors, but also to the economy, functionality and emotionality of products.
Ecological sustainability
Probably the easiest sustainability to understand is that of ecology. In my design process, I attach great importance to designing products in such a way that they use renewable or recyclable raw materials and that the products can be manufactured with as little energy input as possible.
Economic sustainability
In order to ensure a fully sustainable society, products must on the one hand generate economic benefits for the manufacturer, but on the other hand they must also be affordable for a broad mass of people. Only when as many people as possible have access to sustainable products can they have an impact on our future.
Functional sustainability
Functional sustainability is achieved when products are created that are technology-safe or anticipate technological progress. I also design products so that they are clearly understandable and as accessible as possible.
Emotional sustainability
The influence that subjective perception has on a user is often underestimated. Products are like people: we usually fall in love at first sight and in the best case it ends in a long-term relationship. This is exactly what I want to achieve with my designs. A product has to create an emotion at first sight, that’s the only way it can survive in today’s abundance. A good product builds a relationship with its user, is timeless and yet special. It fits into everyday life without disturbing it and has a positive influence on personal feelings. And if you actively look at the product from time to time, you are glad to have it.
